This past week at the 2018 MLB All-Star Game in Washington, DC, Fanatics and MLB debuted 3 virtual dressing room kiosks. The 3 virtual dressing room installations were created by The Four One Group and featured in the Fanatics retail section at FanFest. Each virtual dressing room installation featured over 45 different apparel items for both male and female fans to try on. All retail apparel was located in the immediate vicinity of the virtual dressing room kiosks so fans could purchase actual physical clothing that they tried on virtually.
Each virtual dressing room kiosk featured Zugara’s patented WSS for Kiosks virtual dressing room technology. The video above shows a demonstration of the WSS for Kiosks technology deployed at the MLB event. Additional photos of the virtual dressing room kiosks can be found in the image gallery below.
The Fanatics and MLB virtual dressing room adds to a growing list of use cases for both augmented reality and virtual dressing room technology. In past blog posts, we have included virtual dressing room use cases from a growing number of brands and retailers including MLB, Golfino, The University of San Diego, North Carolina Museum of Art, Lands’ End, Chick-fil-A, Delta Air Lines and more. You can view these posts here and here. Additional information on WSS for Kiosks virtual dressing room software can be found here.
