As we have done throughout the years, we like to share any and all augmented reality data when we receive it. The latest data we have received is from a recent Nokia campaign in South Africa handled by our software reseller, Virtuelle. Virtuelle and Nokia utilized our WSS for Kiosks virtual dressing room software for the event. More info on the campaign can be found here.
Results from the 3 month campaign included the following:
- 1.2 images were taken per user of the Virtual Dressing Room kiosk and shared to the gallery. The Virtual Dressing Room gallery drove mall visitors to vote via their mobile device on best image.
- Images posted to the gallery had a halo effect on other shoppers which drew in shoppers to the booth and resulted in over 3 pageviews per visitor for the gallery and social sharing section.
- This halo effect continued for Nokia Asha product information as multiple product info pages were viewed per visitor.
Summary: Hundreds of people tried the virtual dressing room kiosk which provided brand awareness and interaction with the Nokia Asha phone. Not only were user-generated images uploaded to the gallery on display in the mall, but the ability to vote via mobile device drove additional mall vistors and page views of the Nokia Product. As a result, mall visitors engaged with the Nokia brand, Nokia Asha product information and the Nokia Asha device through an innovative combination of virtual dressing room technology, social media and mobile voting integration.
